City Council Member Aaron C. Higgins Launches Re-Election Bid with Strong Record of Accomplishments
Pooler, GA – City Council Member Aaron C. Higgins has announced his candidacy for re-election, highlighting his successful efforts to promote responsible growth, improve infrastructure, and enhance public safety during his tenure on the council.
“I am honored to have served the citizens of Pooler since 2020 and am eager to continue fighting for the betterment of our community,” said Higgins. “Throughout my time on the council, I have been a vocal advocate for transparency and accessibility in government, and have worked tirelessly to update the zoning ordinance, revamp the alcohol ordinance, and provide support for our first responders during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Higgins also emphasized his key accomplishments, including the completion of fire station #5 off of Jimmy DeLoach Parkway, the widening of Pipemakers Canal from Pooler Parkway to Bloomingdale, and attaining a Certificate of Excellence from the Georgia Municipal Association & the University of Georgia’s Carl Vinson Institute of Government.
“I remain committed to collaborating with my fellow council members and city staff to make Pooler an even more desirable place to live, work, and raise a family,” said Higgins.
In addition to his role on the city council, Aaron C. Higgins serves on the boards of several community organizations, including Family Promise of the Coastal Empire and the Pooler Juneteenth Celebration Committee.
The city of Pooler will hold its municipal elections on November 7, 2023.
