Exciting News for Our Family

I’m thrilled to share some personal news with the Pooler community. With the recent adoption of our son, my family and I have decided to take the next step in building our new life together. We’re starting the process of changing our last name from Higgins to Henry. An official press release is available here.

This decision is deeply personal and reflects the strong bond we’re creating as a family. It’s not something we’ve undertaken lightly, but it feels like the right way to mark this meaningful chapter in our lives.

While my name will be changing, one thing remains the same: my commitment to serving the people of Pooler. I will continue my duties as Mayor Pro Tem with the same dedication and focus as always.

Until the name change process is officially finalized, likely in late-January/early-February, I will still be recognized as Aaron C. Higgins in all my official capacities. Once it’s complete, all documents and communications will reflect my new last name, Henry. You may notice a few things on this website still say Higgins and some might already say Henry, that’s because website development takes a bit of work, but we’re working on it!

I appreciate your understanding and support as my family, and I move forward on this exciting journey. Thank you for being part of a community that has been such an important part of my life.

Warm regards,
Aaron C. Henry (formerly Higgins)
